*Packin' it Up*

That's what I've been doing today (packin' it up). Trying to get things in order for daddy to be on duty for a full 7 days! I think my buggy was as full as it has EVER been this morning at Walmart! My washer and dryer have been running...NON-STOP today. Well, that's partially due to the fact that my laundry room looked like it had puked every stitch of clothing in our house! It is finally under control, and I even managed to get one of the baskets empty and outta there!

Yesterday, Trey decided that our tile needed some carpet fresh powder on the floor. I didn't quite get it, until I caught him doing this. I guess Thomas wanted to play in the 'snow'? Little Turkey. Trey that is...

While I was putting away laundry, I couldn't resist the hat. How f.r.e.a.k.i.n.' cute is she? I'm not biased, at ALL. She is following in her brother's footsteps. I thought I would have a mellow one the second time around. This girl, cannot sit still to save her life. She wants to go...go...go! We'll pretend she wasn't inches from the edge of the bed in this picture. Anyway, it's only appropriate that she started running a fever yesterday...you know, 2 days before I have to leave. Love my pediatrician though...Amoxcycillin here we come. Just the same old crud everyone else has. Runny nose, coughing, sneezy, etc...but at least daddy has the medicine if he needs it.

This would be Trey's favorite night night. How embarrassing is that? It really is that rough looking, probably more so in person! I've already attached an extra panel, because one of them was so frayed.

Trey is on day 5 of big boy pants! Do you hear the chorus of 'Hallelujah'? I do. He even woke up with a dry diaper this morning. (Yes, we do diapers at night...probably b/c I don't feel like stripping beds in the middle of the night!) This is Trey showing off his 'unders' as he calls them...

Well, I'm off to fold some more laundry and then to church. I'll blog once I get to Vegas tomorrow evening. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Bringin' it Back...

Just a fun little Throwback Thursday. I gave up on doing this on a regular basis, but I finally remembered to snatch a few pictures from Mimi's house the other night. I was curious if Emery looks like me when I was 7 months. What do you think?

7 Months
5 1/2 Months.
7 1/2 Months

I know they're out of order, but oh well!

On a different note, I am getting anxious about being gone for 7 days! I think I start getting short of breath just thinking about it! I know Joe will do a great job, he's a very hands-on dad, so it's not like any of it will be new to him. We just spend a lot of time together, so I will definitely be out of my element all by myself! I am taking my lap top and my camera, so hopefully that will keep me busy! I don't plan on doing a lot of sight seeing...only because I've been there before and again...I don't want to be out on my own! Well, I better get back to getting grades done...grrr. Have a great weekend! Chances are, my next blog will be from Vegas!

...Busy Weekend...

Whoa, where did my weekend go? I want another one! That's okay...this time next week, I'll be here! Woo Hoo! I'm a little apprehensive, seeing as Trey started coughing yesterday. I think he's going to have issues with outside allergies, but that is yet to be determined. He's still his silly old self...

Exhibit A.

My life is over, as I've known it. Why, you might ask? Because of this...

Someone is crawling...
Oh, the determination.
Where did my baby go?
Someone doesn't think that is very funny...

She says, "I'll have that...thank you very much"

All in all it was a great weekend. I guess you can say I'm official now...3 photo shoots in one weekend! Whoa. You can head over here to check out the sneak peeks. Hope everyone has a great week!

* Little Drive *

Before dinner tonight, we took a little drive. I have been wanting to take some pictures with Trey on railroad tracks. We wandered out a few country roads and finally settled in Hockley. Here are a few of the pictures.

Mom, seriously...I'm tired of this camera already.

A definite favorite.
And no, I didn't mean for it to come out that way.
But that's the best way, right?

I think he'd set up camp here if he could.

Came across this little place...

...and had to check these guys out.

All in all, some good family bonding before dinner. Hope everyone is having a great week! Off to watch some Idol. G'night!

...Another Reason...

Just another reason that I love my job. The project this week is to create your own magazine cover...No, not go to the site that does it for you...the kids have to create theirs from scratch. Including: finding the matching font (or one close to it) to re-create all of the titles and such...using their own picture, creating a story about them, and the list goes on. Here is the one I created for them to get inspired....Disclaimer: this is not a real Parents magazine, even though I think it could compete...lol.

* Not Me Monday! *

Well, I took a week off, but I'm bringin' it back. Not Me Monday, compliments of MckMama. Oh, what a great form of therapy.

  • I do not have a ridiculous amount of papers to grade this week. I have 175 students who turned in a 4-page newsletter...do the math.
  • Trey does not have some sort of complex with going #2 at our house. EVERY day he will go #2 at Grammy's house, and then at home and over the weekend...he will NOT do it. Saturday morning, he would never go to the bathroom 3 times on the potty and wear regular underwear to McDonald's...only to come home, get a diaper on for nap time...and you guessed it...leave us a surprise in his diaper. Grrr....
  • I have not taken a ridiculous amount of pictures with my new camera. Nope.
  • We are not overly excited that tomorrow night is Joe's last basketball game is tomorrow night. Woo Hoo!
  • Sunday evening, Daddy did not get to make his first solo trip with Trey to the ER. Background - when Trey was about 2, he discovered nursemaid's elbow. We thought he had dislocated his wrist or something, so we hussle to the ER...only to have the doc come in and take 2 seconds wiggling his arm and it's fixed. This was not the third time since. I did not try and use my expertise and fix it (just as I'd seen the Dr.'s do it!), only to have Trey screaming bloody murder when I tried to set it. He did not have me thinking his arm was broken. Joe did not send me a text from the ER that said, "Well, we got a $100 pair of silly glasses!"...It was not Nursemaid's...AGAIN. Luckily, we only have 2 more years until he grows out of it.
  • I am not counting down the days for my Vegas trip...oh, so exciting!
Have a great week!

...Downtown...

We got a wild hair today and ventured outside of our 10 mile radius. These bugs that are hanging out in my lungs came along for the ride. I.e...the kids gave me their junk from the last couple of weeks, and if you were to call me you'd surely say, "That's funny Joe, but let me talk to Kristy now." We headed downtown! We NEVER go down there and we thought that Trey would get a kick out of all the tall buildings. Of course, we had to take our camera along. Joe's been itchin' to get behind the lens, so I graciously let him. He gets the credit for most of these shots. Me? I edited them. Enjoy. P.S. Happy Valentine's Day!

Look...I'm almost as big as daddy's boot.

Strike a pose.

Handsome.

Someone LOVES their big brother.

* Realized *

As I was going back thru some of my latest posts, I hadn't really posted much besides pictures!

We haven't been up to much around here lately. Simply counting down the days until Daddy is done with basketball season. The poor guy hasn't had a break (besides Christmas) since July. Gee, I don't know what else happened in July. Good lord, that has been almost 7 months...Emery is almost 7 months, stop the presses! How is that possible? I have to thank God every day for blessing me with one of the easiest babies EVER. The girl goes to bed by 8 and I wake her up in the morning at 6. Stop shakin' your head, it's true. Does she cry? Hmm, only when there is a bottle in sight...or she thinks there should be one. I still vividly remember everyone under the sun telling me that my next baby was going to give me grief. Granted, Emery gave me grief getting here...she gave it up fast!

It's okay though, she handed it off to Trey. That boy is. a. mess. Me: "Trey, would you please come here?" Trey: "Um, no thank you.". Hmm. Me: "Trey, get over here!" Trey: "No, I just can't. I don't have to." *sigh* That whole thing about the two's are out and the three's are in are so true. Forget the terrible two's...nope. It's the three's. However, the kid can still entertain me to no end.

Just because it is expected, here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure...

This is his innocent face. Don't let it fool you.
We love our binoculars.

Basketball season is beginning
to get to daddy...Trey comes
by his silliness honestly.

I'll be sure to get some pics of Emery for next time. Tomorrow is Friday, can I get an A-M-E-N?

:: Week 5 - Silly ::

This week, I ♥ Faces brings you SILLY! I have this one covered. If you know Trey, then you know silly! When I saw what the theme would be for this week, I also remembered that I had the adult category covered. Coach B, just follow him around long enough and you're sure to get somethin' silly! :) Enjoy.

Here's our kid's entry...Trey.

Here's the adult category. Coach B.
I think it's all in the glasses. lol.

Go check out I ♥ Faces for more funny pics.
Disclaimer: After many comments, I thought it only appropriate to clarify. Coach B is not Trey's daddy. He is a fellow coach that works with my husband. And yes, with their silly faces, that might be harder to distinguish. lol.

* Fun Weekend *

We've had a great weekend! Saturday morning we ventured out to Lake Conroe to help Tammy celebrate her birthday. Tammy and I have known each other since we were 5. Yes, that's kindergarten, in case you were wondering. We actually reminisced how we used to consult each other about our birthday parties, since they were only 1 week apart! Anyway, on to the pictures...you can click over here to see the sneak peak of Tammy's photo shoot. By the way, so sorry but Tam beat y'all to it...she was my first official client! :)

This is Luke & Emery.
We're saving this for their wedding slide show.
Emery is slightly infatuated.
Can you blame her?

Andria & Reece...relaxin'.

Pure Goodness.

Awww. Tam & J

Don't ask. We don't know either.

Good ole' game of washers. They tied.

The Birthday Girl.

I'll have some of that. Thank you.

Cozy.
Don't worry Reece, I'm not tellin' anyone
that you were on the Blackberry. Oops.

By the way, it doesn't get much better than hanging out at the lake on a Saturday with good friends and great weather.

*Fix-It Friday*

And so goes, my love affair with Photoshop. Fridays over at I ♥ Faces is fix-it Friday. Check out the before and after. I battled with the freckles...does she love them or does she hate them? I left them, because I think it's her. What do you think?
