Fancy

Only 7 days of school left, and 3 of those are 1/2 days...can I get a hallelujah?! I got this fabulous idea to 'jazz' up my Tar.jay flip flops from my friend Amy at church. See how cute they are?!

Supplies you'll need:
  • Your size, mesh top Mossimo flip flops from Tar.jay {ahem...Target}
  • 1 upholstery needle {a regular, rinky dink sewing needle won't cut it}
  • 1 spool of upholstery thread {same color as flip flops}
  • However many beads ya want!
*Warning: If I have to tell you how to use the needle/thread to get the beads on to the mesh, then we may be in a lil' bit of trouble.

The hardest part was getting the big button on the center of the flip flop. It was smooth sailing from there. It took me a couple of hours to finish these and I really like the way they came out. The turqouise bead and the little brown one on top are super glued...I did have to reapply the glue to one already, so if you have a better idea...run with it. So, I already broke the rules and wore these to school twice last week. Hey, I made it this long without wearing flip flops to school, that was an accomplishment in and of itself! Here's a few more shots of mine. I just got my black pair, and will be making those this week!

Get busy and make ya some!

Cute shoes! My friend and I are gonna decorate flats together soon. :D Great minds.

No hallelujah for me. :/ just a discontented *sigh*. lol. I still get to see the kids over the summer right? Gosh, you just HAD to have another one didn't you? Double withdrawls. Not fair Miss Kristy, not fair.

With Love and Blessings,
